Using NST with older versions of NAV DB

Hi Guys,
Long time reader, first time poster
Has anyone had any success hooking up the Navision Service Tier into an older Nav DB. We have a client on NAV 4.0, we want to Upgrade them from Native to SQL and upgrade their client software to NAV 2009 so we can use web services.
I created a new SQL DB in the NAV 2009 client, then I restored the 4.0 DB into it, and as expected it has created things like Table 2000000076 Web Services.
I already have the middle tier installed and have been sucesfully using the webservices to build some really amazing applications but all with the 2009 DB.
From what I can see there is only a few things missing, form 810, functions in code unit 1.
If I was to import these items from the NAV DB that is working to the NAV 4.0 DB would that be enough to allow the web services to connect to the DB so that it can use my .net systems?
If anyone has got this working a list of object that need to be moved would be fantastic.
