    NAV 2013 and NAV 2009 can actual share the web service port and OData port, but not NST port.

    Got this reply from Microsoft last week when attending NAV TechDays 2012.
    Port sharing is not supported out of the box with the NAV 2013 setup program.

    But you can enable it yourself. Say you have two NAV server instances (NT services) that you want to use the same ports for. Then you can use the sc.exe tool to create a dependency to the Port Sharing Service, and then the NAV server instances will be able to share ports.

    Hope this helps.

    ..so different NST 2013 can share, but not with NST 2009.

    lets say i have 2 databases in 1 server
    so i must use different port number??
    database 1 --> 8046
    database 2 --> 9046

    is this correct?
    how about if we have 10 databases

    You need to create 10 seperate ports..
    7046, 7056, 7066 etc..

    Has anyone tried the solution? Would be nice to know whether it's possible or not. :-k

    Or maybe we should just keep adding to the spreadsheet with port numbers :)

    At our office is using same port for NAV2009R2 and NAV2013(WS,NS) and same time can be open the RTC. But that one is not my configuration. I ask to my manager what is additional configuration for using same port. Answer is "No." :-k. But configuration is 3T configuration.

    I now have two seperate NST 2013 running on the same port, after making a dependency to the Port Sharing Service for both services. To do this I used this command "sc config <servicename> depend= NetTcpPortSharing". I also tried to use the same port as our NST 2009 services, but that did not work. But I'm happy that we can now run all our NST 2013 using the same port, much easier than keeping track of different ports for every single service :D Thanks!

    Hi

    The easy way is to install "Service Tier Administration Tool" from "tegos GmbH Dortmund"

    http://www.mibuso.com/dlinfo.asp?FileID=1410

    With this tool You can administate NAV-services for 2009 and 2013 and Port shareing

    Remember: "run as administrator"
