2 different headers

Hello guys,

I'm sitting on a nav 2013 rdl report but I had the same problem with 2009 rdl reports.

The report needs two different headers: one for the first page and one for the following. But it doesn't work. I've tried to put two rectangles in the header and toggle them with the page number but the place is always reservated. I tried much more and play with the controls but I got no result. I see only the header I need in the page but when I run the report and click on "print layout", there is much white space. The rectangle doesn't release the white space which is hidden.

Have anyone an idea how I can solve my problem? The two headers are necessary for the report.

Thanks and best regards
Basty

There is a property of header-- print on every page--
write it in this property-- yes
then header will be printed on every page.
    I hope it would work.

Yes. RDL is part only for RTC not for classic. RDLC has this problem that it reserves space for hidden fields.

    Hey guys,

in some reports we have 2 different sized report headers. To NAV 2013 we go back to classic reports when we had this problem. But you know with NAV 2013 the classic reports falls away.

The problem is that headers and footers have a fixed size, so they toggle right but they don't release the white space from the hidden fields.

I'm in contact with microsoft right now. Will see how we solve this.

Any partner or developer with the same problem? Or a solution? ;)

    Bye

This is a known issue and we had for all our customers.
Solution? Where it's possible move to the body and use Table/Group Header... but I think in your case it's not possible.

I think it will work for him as well. Using the header of the body.
