FIFO costing with expected landed costs

Hi guys,
My issue is that I have a user which needs to use FIFO costing but also wants to place expected costs (like Freight, duty, charges) into the Unit cost so that expected profit calculations can be made and then when using Item charge assignments they are reversed and an expected vs actual anaylysis can be made.
I have checked and there are fields like Duty Due % and Duty Code and would like to know whether these fields can help wit hthis solution or whether thety are red herrings?
