Closing Account period

I have worked with accounting periods a little, but I was wondering is there a way to close an accounting period for individual modules such as A/R, A/P, G/L, Bank, etc?

That is a very common request, but no it is not in standard Navision. But it is pretty easy to write code to do this.

Instead of looking at it per module, why not close the accounting period by user since the user will be working in a department?

If you close the period by user, it would require no modification.
