Load on Workcenter is not reduced until MO is finished

The load is not reduced for the workcenter when an operation is reported.

Example:
I have a Manufacturing order, Qty = 10 PCE, for item "ZX" with two operations (Drilling and Painting).

I would expext that the load on the workcenter would be reduced when I report output for each operation. But I have to finish mark the MO before the load is removed from the workcenter for this MO ?

This means that I will have no capacity availble on the first operation until the MO is finished marked.

When you say report output do you also report time not just output quantity? In that case load should be reduced with the time reported.
