When we create a new user in Navision or change the roles or permissions of an existing user the user cannot log in untill we manually syncronise via the Tools/Security/Syncronize option.

My understanding is that this occur automatically is this correct?

At just about the same time as the release of v4.0, Navision published a document titled "Update for Microsoft Business Solutions–Navision 4.0, Late Changes in Functionality, October 2004" that contains the following:
Changes to the SQL Server Option for Navision 4.0
You should be aware of the following important changes if you are running on SQL Server Option for Navision.
    ...
    Synchronization
Every time you make any changes to the Navision security system you must synchronize the security system with SQL Server.

Thanks for the reply - should this not occur automatically i.e. be system driven rather than a manual process?

    .....:-k

......I've tried....SQL logins cannot be added or deleteed by Naviaion or by the syncronization process....when we add or delete the user accounts in Navision.....we still have to add or delete SQL logins of SQL server by SQL Administrator manually..... right?? :?:
