slow odbc

We installed our Navision 4.03, Update 6 client on 3 new windows 7, 64 bit machines. We ran c:\%systemroot%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe to get ODBC working for MS Access. ODBC does work, HOWEVER, it is consistently at 20% the speed as the old Windows XP 32 bit systems. Which for all intents and purposes is unusable. Can anyone offer any insight?

Try running your NAV application in Windows XP mode.
I have not tried, just a thought to share... few of my games which were not running properly in Win7 are working in Windows XP mode. This is an option / feature given my Microsoft Windows team to support the older products.
I remember to run NAV 5.0 version on windows Vista system there was a patch. So, i think being this an older version, this must be a compatibility issue.--

Hi,
Try read more about OS Compatibility before installing Nav ver4. its a bit old for systems now,
usually Windows Vista or Above has compatibility running mode, try use it and if you must set
default run by administrator. it should reduce speed process issue for older software.0
