Session title: Web Services Black Belt – tips & tricks from the (battle)field
Date: Friday, 28 september 2012
Time: 11:00 - 12:30
Level: 300 - Advanced
Speaker: Vjekoslav Babić

Session description:
When they were first released in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, Web services were an exciting feature promising a lot and providing tremendous opportunities for partners, customers, and providing tons of fun for enthusiasts. Over the past four years they have grown stronger, more robust and probably more powerful than initially expected, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 just keeps adding on top of all that.

This session will take a deep dive into the realm of Web services, and will present a series of not-well or not-at-all documented features, and will provide some tips & tricks that will open new horizons for developers, through topics and examples including:
  • Generic Web service consumers,
  • Cross-call state management,
  • NAV-to-NAV integration,
  • Cross-database transactional integrity,
  • Smart data caching,
  • And much more.

Use this thread to post your questions, comments or things you would like to see in this session at the conference.

    Hi,

I have this open question in the forum :

    viewtopic.php?f=32&t=54407

Is posible from NAV .NET Interoperability (HttpWebRequest.GetResponse) to get the text error to the other NAV Database and not the Internal Error 500?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

during the session you said that the objects and the source code would be made available in mibuso.com. I could not find them yet. When and where will they be available?

    Regards

    Rainer
