Dear Experts
Our client is using NAV 2009 R2.
Users reported that general journal lines get deleted before posting.
*************************
The user did provided us with a test report.
We checked Change log and did not find any deletion of general journal lines that are the same as the one.
We checked G/L entries and confirmed the journal lines are not posted.
*************************
Based on the above investigation, I think the journal lines get deleted by the system.
May I know whether any of you have experienced the same issue?
Is there any limitations on how many days NAV will keep general journal lines?
Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?
Thank you.

Perhaps they have a filter on that's preventing them from seeing the lines?
Nav doesn't delete lines after a certain amount of time.

The thing is the journal lines are not shown in change log either.
That is why I assume it is deleted by the system.
I did check gen. journal line table (81)and confirmed the journal lines shown on the test report is not there..
Maybe there is a modification where someone wanted to use a temporary variable but forgot to set the temporary property. Or someone forgot a filter in a function where journal lines are deleted.
Are you the NAV partner??

NAV will not record the change log if the record was deleted using code unless specifically told to do so.
The person that made the modification probably forgot to use filters when he/she used DELETE or DELETEALL.

We have confirmed the issue is caused by a customization.
