how to import a file using a report in RTC

I have a problem with RTC when I try to import a file using a report. The file needs to be imported locally but RTC gives an error since the middletier cannot recognize the file.
Classic doesn't have a problem.
So, is there a way how to handle it (without uploading the file to the middle tier server)?

No..
You can delete layout (if not processing only report) which will run classic report only..

Take a look in Report 81 on the Request Page how to handle file import.

Maybe this helps.

Report 81 is not a good example. It does not contain RDLC code for printing.
When I run my report without RDLC code it runs fine in RTC since it acts like a classic report.
The problem starts when I have RDLC code. The report is printing a status update after data has been imported.

By using COM object it is possible to read a text file directly with the RTC client.
