No need to download the Hotfix for NAV2009R2, you can directly remove departments menu from Customize navigation pane..0

Hi mohana,
In this case i want to remove the finance only from the Department. I tried but whole department is getting removed. I tried adding new menu, but the proper structure (grouping) i am not able to replicate in this. Please give your valuable suggestion and guidance.0 -
Does this suggestion only remove it for that user, so in theory they can add it back in? How from an administrators point of view, can you remove Menus & stop the users from adding them back?
Also you do not want to go to every users system to customise their page, especially if you have remote workers0 -
if we click "Restore Defaults" then it will show back the departments

2. remove department button in menu
3. log out .
4. user re-log in ,but still can find department button.0
