BOM will not post

I have just upgraded a client from 2.0 to 3.7. They are not using manufacturing and the BOM Journal will not post only on a few items. The error messages indicate that the item does not exist, however they do and the quantity on hand is more than enough to handle the consumption of the quantity needed. ](*,)
