Has anybody linked up a bin packing algorithm with NAV?

I'm wondering if anyone has linked up a boxing algorithm with Navision? It's also called bin packing formula, load packing algorithm, box cubing, etc.
This is a complex calculation that takes the dimensions and/or weight of the components of the sales order, and calculates how many boxes are needed for the shipment, as well as what box size, and which sales lines go in which box.
I know that NAV isn't a full WMS, which is where you usually find these formulas, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever linked something like this up to NAV? Thanks in advance!
