Hello,
How is it possible to insert a TAB character as separator of field when writing a file using File and Outstream object?

You create a variable "TXTTab" Type CHAR
OnPreDataItem()
TXTTab := 09;
Then use that field in your code: (see sample below)
WriteFile := 'D'+
FORMAT(TXTTab)+
ItemNo+
FORMAT(TXTTab)
+FORMAT(Quantity);
Stream.WRITETEXT(WriteFile);
Stream.WRITETEXT();
Result looks like:
