EXISTS and Mapped Drive, Windows 7

I'm having a problem using the EXISTS function. We have a mapped drive that I'm checking for a file, but it doesn't return true that the file exists. Running on XP, the function returns true for the same file. NAV 4.0 SP3 Rollup. Even when running NAV as administrator, it still doesn't return true.
Anyone have a similar issue? I saw another topic, viewtopic.php?f=23&t=37820&hilit=exists+function, which discusses something similar. In that case, the file was in a "protected" directory, and I know about the Virtual Store stuff. But this is a mapped drive, so it should treat it like it does any other normal directory.
