Hi all,

I want to know whether the Web client supports only windows authentication as RTC or it supports both windows and database authentication for loggin inside Web Client.

Thanks & Regards,
chandru.

RTC support not only Windows login, but "NAV Logins" and you can even use e.g. Live ID, Facebook and other authentication providers… I think it could be used on Web client too, but I never tried...

Through my exploring of the webclient I found this. Perhaps this is the start of your exploring :-)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\Web Client\web.config
There are entries about authentication mode
Default it is windows, but you can activate form based login.
    You should uncomment some lines.

    See sreenshot.

I assume that it will be needed to change authentication method on IIS too...

The Web Client can also be configured to support "NAV Users". If you have access to the NAV 2013 Beta release here is the related documentation.
