Posting Groups are used to map transactions to the chart of accounts, which are not part of Relationship Management. Take a look at "Synchronization" in Relationship Management Setup to see how a contact is linked to Customers, Vendors and Bank Accounts. Also, take a look at "Interaction Templates" to see how sales and purchase documents can be recorded as interactions.
