login into nav using db authentication. Click tools->security->windows authentication. Add all the users. Assign roles the users. And then relogin using windows authentication.

Without Synchronization will these work ? :-k

No, without syncronising (aka notifying the SQL server of the users and rights) it will not work.
I guess ara3n didn't feel the need to spell out every step.

If you are using Standard Security Model, which I recommend, you don't need to synchronize. The moment you add the user, nav will add it to sql.

If you are using enhanced, I suggest to change it to standard.

ara3n, I have always had a multitude of problems when not synchronising users (like earlier today for a 5.0 client).
All the NAV installations we service have the standard security model.
Is this something new since NAV09/SQL2008(R2) or is it America only or am I doing something wrong?

If you are adding new tables, then you would need to sync. Or if you are backing/restoring sql server. Otherwise there is no need to sync.

Ara3n: Why you are playing dumb all the times? Tell us. The question was there is no db users in it. The man pumped the data including windows logins, SQl mapping has all the users to allow them to connect the database. and yet he cannot start NAV and told "...Password is invalid...". And you still playing dumb and giving stupid advices. Stop it! if you do not know just ignore the question as it is not for you. Crap.
