Performance in SQL

hi guys,

anyone knows how to view performance in SQL, afaik in navision we will go into database session and take a look at the
blocking id... but at times no blocking id indicated yet userS still feedback is slow...

    Try with SQL Server Performance dashboard.

    Well, maybe you'll fine HERE some "inspiration" :wink:

    For Platform Monitoring you could use "Windows Performance Monitor" and PAL
    For Application Monitoring you could use "SQL Profiler" an Qure

    And of curse there are specialized NAV/SQL Performance Tools around 8)

    Platform monitoring refer to windows? How different is that from Task Manager?

    The "Task Manager" just provides very basic information, not really telling much about the system.
    The full truth about the platform (hardware, os, etc.) is revealed by "perfmon.exe" ...
