The Windows has to be:
1.Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate (32-bit or 64-bit editions).0 -
Try to configure a SQL Server(64 bit) before installing NAV 2013.

I'm also offering RDLC Report Training, ping me if you are interested. Thanks to the 700 NAV developers that have now already been at my training. You know you can always call if you have any RDLC report issues :-)0 -

Good point, but if you want the Server running on that machine, the machine needs to be 64bit. The NAV Server is now pure 64bit.

If only SQL Server 2008 R2 Express & other editions of SQL Server 2008 R2 has to be installed means it can only be installed on either 64 Bit Server or Windows 7 Professional & onwards ,if i am not installing NAV 2013 Beta version.Regards,

Your OS MUST be 64 bit, it will not work on 32 bit.
The best way to get the prereqs right is to install SQL Server and Visual Studio first, you should be fine on SQL 2008 and VS 2010. I have not had any problems installing any of the beta versions like that. For me I have Windows Server 2008, and I have helped coworkers install it on Windows 7 Pro.0 -
Thanks Den.
I have sucessfully installed the prerequest SQL 64 from NAV 2013 Beta prequest folder, but no luck when installing NAV 2013 Beta Developer version.
Looks like i need to upgrade from WIN 7 Premium to WIN 7 Pro.Regards,

Thanks for the video, but what is shown is a custom installation which is installed sucessfully on my WIN 7 Home Premium.
Also not able to install SQLDemoDatabase after custom installation cause the database.fbk or database.fdb has been removed ?
But when i try to install the Developer Installation it does not & then the error of SQL Server 2008 R2 installation failed.
I have installed the SQL server 2008 R2 Express application (SQLEXPR_x64_ENU) from the Prerequisite Components which installed sucessfully.
Am i missing some thing or should i go with upgrading to WIN 7 Pro.Regards,

OK so do you want to keep doing the same thing and know that it's not going to install, or are you going to try a path that you know will succeed? I haven't used the demo/developer installer for years, that has never worked properly for me. Selecting the components that I want to use always works for me if I take care of the prerequisites.
What I showed in the video is enough to start developing for the RTC, is there something else that you need?
The Classic database has been discontinued, so there is no more need for the fdb and fbk. There's a backup of the demo database in a folder called 'SQLDemoDatabase', (dig deeper into CommonAppData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\Database). Use SQL Server Management Studio to restore it.
