RTC Connects, But Classic Won't

Hi - we are having an issue with a new installation of NAV 2009 R2. From the server, we can connect with both the Classic Client and RTC. From the workstations, we can connect with RTC, but cannot connect with Classic Client. No error message, the connection just times out. We have never seen this before - usually the connection issues tend to be with RTC. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes. By default SQL does not allow remote users to connect. So you have enable that from SQL SMS.

Then you have also enable TCIP protocol that is by default disabled.

    This should do the trick.

Thanks for your response. I checked for both. Remote sessions are enabled, as well as TCP/IP. Any other suggestions?

Wouldn't that also prevent RTC from connecting?
