I am sure I saw a post some time ago that gave a really simple step by step of what is the minimum needed to get web services running with 5.00 objects and 2009 exe. Did I dream that or does such a post exist?
I need to give a client a second opinion to make them feel comfortable that they are not the only company that are doing this.

Thanks Mohana, I appreciate you finding this, but unfortunately this is not what I am looking for. In fact this is very similar to what the customer already has in place. It is having issues, and I believe it will be less work to move them to 2009 exe and 3 tier than to try to fix the issues with the current solution they have.
What we want to do is take the 5.00 objects into 2009 install the middle tier and use web services through there. I just remember a thread somewhere that discussed this and I want to direct the client to that to show them that its a viable option.
