Forum members,
I'm looking for an improved Image-solution and I'm having difficulty in deciding how to move forward on this.
Can anyone perhaps give me some guidance?
Our installation:NAV 3.70 native database with a technical upgrade to 2009
Our wishes/requirements:
1. To have 1 image stored in the NAV database for each Item number (Or linked to some outside storage). There are about 6.000 Item numbers
2. The image to be printed automatically on the printed Quotation/Quote which goes to customers.
3. Preferred physical dimensions of the printed image will be (Height x Width) either 1.5x5.0 cm or 3x5.0 cm.
4. Image size to be around 400K each
5. Preferred format is JPG, but we can change it
6. (optional) Image visable on the Item Form
I've read/looked around here at Mibuso and found several add-ins. However, I simply don't know which one, if any, would be the best solution for our needs?
For example, I found:
Systime JPEG OCX Control:

NAVPictureViewer 2.2:

iFacto ImaVision v2:

Navision AdvancedImage.Net v1.1:

Real-time Multiformat Picture Convertor JPG & GIF:

Thank you in advance!
Cheers,

You don't need any special tool if you want pics to appear on forms or reports.
Unless you need to resize.
We keep our pictures saved outside nav and imported for viewing when called to save database space:

We also have resized all out pics to a set dimension using Pixresizer:
http://pixresizer.en.softonic.com/
you can mass change all your pics by size & even type if you wish.
there's also a ton of posts if you search "Item Pictures"

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Unfortunately, we do have 2-3 different sizes of pictures. Has to do with the type of products we sell (door hardware) for which pictures (basically) need to be either Portrait or Landschape form.
I will look into the links you provided to educate myself further.
Thanks again
Olof
