I am getting the following error message:
The server does not exist on the 'hosts' file (TCP/IP error NO_DATA).
I got a Windows 2003 Standard Edition Server.
I have modified the 'hosts' and 'services' file.
Hosts File
10.0.0.155 AttainTrain
Services File
AttainTrain 3101/tcp #Navision Training
I have created a shortcut on my Navision 3.70 icon:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client\fin.exe" servername=AttainTrain, nettype=tcp
I also have tried to open the database directly from Navision this way Menu - File - Database - Open.
ServerName: 10.0.0.155
Authentication: Database Server Authentication
User Id: fmartinez
Password: ***
But when I do it that way I get this error message:
The TCP/IP connections hosts is not answering (TCP/IP error ECONREFUSED)
Note: There is something more I got XenApp 4.5 install on the Windows 2003 Standar server and I also got IIS installed.
I hope someone has an idea to go solve it.
Thank you in advance.
P.S. The Production database works wirhout problems. Production database is installed on another computer.

You are sure that that IP address hosts the NAV server?
Did you put the portnumber after the IP addres when using File -> Database -> Open?
Are there any firewalls active blocking the IP/portnumber?No support using PM or e-mail - Please use this forum. BC TechDays 2024: 13 & 14 June 2024, Antwerp (Belgium)0 -
Do not forget that the service file must end with empty line!!!0
