Basically you clean all the data in your ax 4 database. Then you copy the developed layers you have into the AX 2009 application, this is bus, var, cus, usr layers.
Then u open it with an AX 2009 client and complete the upgrade procedure, this includes detecting code conflicts and solving them. Do all this in test envorenment first of course, but really, the upgrade document from Microsoft is very detailed, so you won't miss anything..
