single zup file for multiple users

I work in an environment with mandatory profiles. The users all need to have the same menus items and columns visible. Is there a way to create a single zup file for all users to connect to.

Shure you can create and copy one .zup file to all users but the point of the file is that each user can personalize the GUI. That said your requirement makes no sense. You should rather focus on roles/permissions and assigning users to menus.

moreover...if you hide columns and then "save the view" in the zup file that you deploy to everyone...Do you think that the users cannot right-click on the header and "show more columns"? or use the "zoom"? (ok, you can remove these possibilities -at least the zoom and probably the "show more columnts" - through system permissions)
I second rhpnt: this is not the way to go, stick to roles/permissions setup.
