NAV Tables

I found that NAV 4.0 SP3 there are some tables though appears read only gets deleted, overwrite. In one case through oversight one table data which was simply copied after filtering the filed gets pasted into that table.
e.g.Service tax entry. It appears read only but error can happen.

Is there any standard list available for tables which shows that the table is editable? or pure read only.

    Hi pashya1972

No such property on a table - sure your not referring to a list form as these can be editable or not!

The only other property that prevents copying to a table is PasteIsValid but this is for cut and pasting - sounds like you have some coding issues there alright!

    Good luck

There is a list, namely your license.
You can get a detailed list of objectpermissions trough Microsoft VOICE or your partner

Copy and Paste in Table Service Tax Entry seems to be impossible because primary key duplication will stop it. Exception can be when the activity of copy and paste is done over multiple database. Further the paste cannot be done from Excel or Text file (a field is possible but a complete row will not insert). Yes you can delete it.

The bigger point is that you seems to use Object Designer to run the table data and play around. The option needs to be used with extreme caution as it can play havoc in untrained/wrong hands.
