LS Retail in DMZ environment

Hi Guyz,

i need to run LS retail DMZ environment

1. STORE/ POS -> PULL & PUSH from HQ - DMZ ZONE (DD installed here) - DMZ talk to Database in Database server

2. ONLY port 80 is open in DMZ zone.

3. No access to the Database server and SQl can only talk in the standard SQl server PORT (SQL server is named instance)

4. and as mentioned the Stores have to pull and push the data

i have simulated the environment but with DD and the Database sitting in the same machine then there is no problem with communication or push or pull of the data between HO & STORES

but in the real scenario the DD sits in the DMZ and the Database sits in another machine and when we try to test DD connection it says 12305 error w.r.t (take long time and then pops the error). when i activate the DD log - i get the following error at the end

CSockConn::Accept: ERROR: Accept failed. Invalid socket [10004]
CSocketListener::Listen: Could not accept a socket connection. Exiting

when i check internet for the above error, this what it says

WSAEINTR 10004 Interrupted function call.A blocking operation was interrupted by a call to WSACancelBlockingCall.

using DD 2.28 and Dynamics NAV 2009 Classic SQL & LS retail 6.1

any suggestions.

Why don't you just use a VPN?

DD uses different ports than 80. Did you change the port?

Yes as per the customer reqmt we have to use only PORT 80. actually it works with port 80 in test environment where DD and the Database are installed on one machine.
