Page-Could not Process Root Node

Hi Experts,
I Have a customized page, on running that page, and on Actions->Functions->clicking Export XYZ.
A new page opens
Issue:
1. The page that opens up is blank,must have filters, how it could be bought.
2. On Clicking Ok on the same page, Error pops up as "The XMLPort 'export FISTA' is only intended for export".
On changing the direction to both, and running the page again the error msg pops up
"Could not process the Root node"
Here Export XYZ is a Xmlport.
