how to disable F8 for any perticular field

I want to disable F8 for the field called "Document No." in Payment journal form. can anyone please tell me how to do this????????

I saw the post but i didnot want to disable the f8 for the perticular form....i want to disable it just for a particular field.

Moreover, why would you want to do that. Copying the document number before modifying is a taks commonly used by accountants troughout our customers. They often copy the previous number and add a suffix to the document number for easy balancing while maintaining the actual document.
