Unicode web service calls

Hi,
A while ago I posted the following topic regarding multiple servers hosting NAV web services for different code pages : http://www.mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=51607.
Now I wondered if anyone ever did the following:
Imagine there are 3 web services for 3 NAV database, each with a different code page (web services are hosted on 3 different servers).
There is one other application (e.g. CRM) which is unicode.
Would the code page be an issue when the CRM application will contact the different NAV web services ?
I guess not since the XML traffic is probably UTF, but I just wondered if anyone ever tried this.
