Hi,
I'm trying to find out if there is a way to make an excel or other type of order form that would automatically work with navision through email?
Example: Customer fills out order form, emails it, customer service agent then enters automatic order. I'm bacically trying to keep from entering each individual item.
Thanks...

    have you thought about saving the excel file as a CSV. & create a dataport to import the info?

    I'm not familiar with creating a dataport...Where would I research how to do that?

    Are there any additional modules that we would need in order to make this work?

    Ok, I'm not shure what to do next, I am not a programmer, nor do I have access to the internals of Navision, is this a plug and play type of program? I basically want to make an order form or take our existing order form and have it so it transfers the information, item, quantity, etc into Navision. If this is the case for this download, whats the next step? Sorry for not mentioning this earlier. #-o If not is there an outside program that does this, that does not require a programmer or internal access? Thanks for your help!!

    Then the download might be difficult for you to install
    check you license to see if you have:
    7,110:Report & Dataport Designer

    Read the Chapter
    then you can make a test EXPORT dataport just to get the feel of what's it's doing. (Export won't cause you any problems)

    Use Dataitem: ITEM for example

    then View->Dataport Fields

    add some fields, save (probably between 50000..50100) & run
    If this is more than you wanted to have to do, then I would contact your NSC and they could put a dataport together for you fairly quickly and take the worries away.
