employee portal not seeing in Sharepoint

Hi there,
I have the following installed
WIndows server 2008 R2
Nav DB 5.0
Nav NAS 5.0
C/side Client 5.0
Employee portal 5.0 SP1 (with hotfix)
WSS 3.0 installation (not front end option, but the otherone)
I have installed first WSS 3.0 and configured the other items.
Everything is working ok. but i dont see the employee portal in sharepoint.
The only error i get at the install of employee portal is:
"web.config doesnt exist in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\"
How can i solve this problem and make employee portal work again?
