intercompany lot id issue

Hi,

While transacting in IC scenario lot id for a particular item is not generating . The item has an auto batch number where we donot have the batch number generating and giving an error msg cannt update record in sales order in the sellling company. Setrups chkd for item and IC . Can any none suggest?
