RTC Performance Issues

We have an environment where we access a NAV Server in Germany from 12 different sites in the NAFTA region over the WAN. We are using a closed VPN and no certificates.

Even though the local bandwith is not very high, usually, the performance is acceptable. But in some cases and especially on some specific clients the login process (up to 3 minues) and also opening pages (up to 2 minutes) is very slow. These clients are newer ones and are at the same location as other clients where we have no issues.

Also we realized that the first page (eg. PO) we open after login takes up to 2 minutes, but after that it takes about 2-3 seconds for the same page to open. It looks like there is some kind of cache for these pages which will be deleted after logout.

Are there any ideas how we could improve that? Or is there an option to keep this cache?

    1) Look at latency and not bandwidth. Latency is more critical.
    2) Check the free memory on the client.
    3) Check the memory on the service tier.
