SAVEASPDF Produces wrong Date format on Report

Here's a good one! On our internal system (UK) when the user prints the Sales Invoice from the RTC to a physical printer the posting date format comes out correctly in UK format DD/MM/YY. However, we have implemented a sample from MSDN blogs to use SaveAsPDF (see link below) and attach the pdf to an outbound email. Using this method the pdf report produced has the posting date as MM/DD/YY. My first thought was that the server was set to a USA locale but it's not.#

I'm baffled? Anyone else ever seen this before?
