Hi there,

I have 2 servers of NAV.

Server 1 : SQL 2008

Server 2 : SQL 2008 R2

Both servers NAV client is version 2009. I did a NAV backup from Navision on the server 2 which running sql 2008 R2. When i tried to restore it to server 1, it restored halfway and said the file was corrupted.

Is there anyway for me to restore NAV backup without depending on SQL version?

Please help

Thank you

NAV 2009? Or NAV 2009 SP1? Or NAV 2009R2? NAV 2009 is pritty old...

Are you sure that the file is not really corrupted? Have you transfered all parts of the backup? (do not forget that NAV will create only max 2GB files and if needed will create more files for the backup). Restoring NAV backup is not SQL version depending...

    Hi there,

    Sorry.. it's NAV 2009 R2

There are 2 files (2 GB each). I will try to back it up again and restore it

I dont think the files are corrupted because i have 3 copies.

When i try to restore it, do i use NAV 2009 R2 with Microsoft SQL or NAV 2009 R2 classic?

Why didn't you make a backup/restore using SQL server?

Depends on which DB you want to create, if SQL or Native... ;-)
