NAV R2 RTC not responsive while connecting

Hi,
I just installed NAVR2 demo db on my machine. I chose the comprehensive installation with everything, RTC, SQL, Classic etc. (everything installed on my machine, Windows 7)
The classic SQL version connects fine. Both services (NAV Server and Web Services) are also started without any errors.
I was also able to do http://localhost:7047/DynamicsNAV/WS/Services, and it is returning the pages i published.

However, when i launched RTC client, it is stuck at the main RTC screen without any response. After waiting for more than 20 minutes, i have to kill it from Task Manager.
Anyone has any idea what's going on??

Would really appreciate any advise/suggestions!!

Background: I previously had 2009 SP1 Web Service and NAV Server installed and had them hooked up to another NAV2009SP1 database, but i uninstalled those before i installed the R2 version.
