codeunit 13:Gen. Jnl.-Post Batch

hi guys,

i am quite confuse by 3 codeunits:

13 - Gen. Jnl.-Post Batch
231 - Gen. Jnl.-Post
233 - Gen. Jnl.-B.Post

what i read up (but doesn't get it )all this 3 post batch, search for respective template name, batch name and does the posting. so when will each one be called?

i guess 231-is for interfacing only eg:asking you want to post?, if no i exit, if yes i'll call -post batch,
231-'ll call the work horse cu13 to do post of journal.

but i don't know who will call cu233 :roll:

Form 251 : General Journal Batches

i found out that in general journal>
batch>
lookup will provide the opening to the form 251,

but normally we'll just do posting from gen. jnl. table is that correct?
when will user specifically want to post only gen-jnl batches?

normally, yes. however, if needed, you could posting all the batches at one time.
for example, in payment journal, the user want to have one batch per bank. so, the user creates several batches. when he wants to post the journals, instead of going to each batch and post, the user only need to post from the General Journal Batches form for all the batches.

although, it's better for them to go to each batch and post, so they could check the lines before posting.
