Change Log User Personalization

I experienced something strange where a user reported their role centre disappeared (changed back to default). When i checked the user personalization card for many users the Profile ID was removed/disappeared. For now i can add these back in but i don't know how this has happened.

My windows user name had also 'disappeared'.

I looked at turning change log on for windows login and user personalization but i cannot find any table that i can record this information, any ideas??
