There is a difference between dynamics nav 2009 and navision 2.6 to fire this event?

I need to convert an old database to nav 2009. In old DB this event fire only when i close with <ESC> the form.
But If I use OK button and return to LookUp function event not fire.
In Nav 2009 event alwayse fire!

hmmm... maybe that's a bug in 2.6?! From my point of view it should fire that trigger independent on how the form is closed. At least that's the way how it works in 5.01, 6.01 and 6R2.

The result will be different depending in what mode you are running the form. It also depends on the properties of EXS and OK on the buttons.

Best would be to analyze what return value you are getting from the form in the different cases.
