Posting Date issue with Prod. Orders

Hi Everyone,
I am getting the posting date error that it is out of my assigned range when I change the status of a Released production order to a Finished. When I change the status I ensure that the Posting date is todays date. I have basically closed of last months accounts and do not want any more postings to that month. If I open up the posting dates it will allow me to post but I want the posting dates to be TODAY not when the production journal was posted.
Please HELP
