Minimizing overhead of reports

I have a current situation where I would like to minimize the overhead of printing a report from NAV 2009 R2 (SQL).
As of now, if I make an almost empty report working on the Integer-table (constant to no. 1), it takes roughly 300ms. before the .RUN or .RUNMODAL finishes.
Are there any ways to tweak this, without using anything besides a report (like an Automation)?
The problem is that with many users on the same DB, this overhead quickly increases as many users print simultaneously.
