Can 4SP3 and Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 run on the same machine?

A customer uses Navision 4SP3, but wanted to have a Nav 2009 R2 test environment.
I installed R2 (and had to re-install 4SP3) but now interactions doesn't work anymore in 4SP3.
I tried reregistering teh Nashandler.dll, but the problem isn't solved.
Can 4SP3 and Nav 2009 R2 clients run on the same box? The databases are on a separate server.

Yes.
Copy the entire 4.00sp3 folder somewhere safe.
Uninstall which ever was the last version of NAV you installed.
Install 2009R2
Copy the 4.00sp3 folder back where it was.
This should work.
