Mergetoll Vs Developer tool kit

Dear friends,

I am going to update Nav 5.0 database to 2009 R2 . I have experience in Developer tool kit .

what about mergetoll is it easier than developer toll kit .. ?

    If you know how to use it, but getting to know it takes some patience. I spent way more than I care for to learn how to use it, but when it started making sense it was actually very easy to use, much nicer than the DTK, in my opinion.

    If you decide to use it, there are two videos that you must see before getting started. One is called 'How to use the mergetool'.     Moreover, DTK is no more supported by MS. Because they're going for a "RTC-based tool", or something like that. In the meantime, they suggest to use mergtool or object manager.
    IMO, good choice...i didn't like dtk too much: because of its slowness and some bugs, i frequently went for winmerge text comparer :whistle:
