Problem using HotCopy

I’m getting an error message when using HotCopy.
Unable to connect to the server’s process.
This is because the server is running af a service using a system account.
Please run the client using the network instead.

I’d tried everything but I don’t know what to do anymore.

Does someone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Henry

Under which user is server running?

Under which user you are starting hotcopy?

On which PC is server and hotcopy running (same, another)?

Answer: The Server is running under local system (I’ve also tried domain admin)

Under which user you are starting hotcopy?
Answer: The Hotcopy script is running under domain admin account (also tried local administrator)

On which PC is server and hotcopy running (same, another)?
Answer: The Hotcopy script is running on the same server as the Navision server.

The HotCopy Script run fine manualy via the command prompt. And when I start the server.exe via the command prompt the same message appears:
"The program is unable to connect to the server's process.
This is because the server is running as a service using a system account
Please run the client using the network instead"

May be you must setup the Windows login in navision for the user under which you are running hotcopy. Or use the user= and password= parameters...

I’ve already tried that, but that isn’t working either.

You said, that script in cmd is working. It is not working when: if you start it in scheduler? Have you user and password in the script? Can you set the script to be run as another user (not system user)?

We are not using hotcopy, I am trying to found some point, which can be wrong... :-)
