We have just installed NAV 2009 R2. SQL and NAV Server resides in 2 different machines. Now some of my users are required to access the system without logging into the domain. How can this be done?
Your statement about "without the domain user" is interesting. I read this as the domain user is integrated into the App-V, and the user (not a domain user) starts the App-V and then a domain user is used.
Yes, somewhere in the process you always need a domain user. But your laptop (as a consultant for example) does not need to be in the domain of the customer.

If you have a RTC shortcut on your machine you can right click the shortcut and select "Run as".
This way you can log in as a different user, but it still has to be a domain user.

When the pop up appears, they will just need to enter their domain credentials.
