Order planning sheet when sales order is converted to p/o can both number series match

You mean that the order number on the sales order is the same as the order number on the purchase order?

Numbering is defined in No. Series. That is something which is valid for all the documents not just the connected sales/purchase order.
This connection can allways be found within Nav by navigation. On paper it will not be clear that a purchase is connected to a sales.

Is this what you mean?
