Transfer goods within same location

How can we transfer goods within same location with separate pick and put-away action doc, as pick and put-away is handled by 2 separate doc and person. Can system record a status like item picked but not yet put-away just like a in-transit concept in transfer order (however, transfer order not allow goods transfer within same location)

Any sugestion for this? I have tried internal pick and internal puy-away, but there are no linkage to each other.

Use the movement worksheet.

Warehouse movement doc can't allow you post pick and put-away separately. Once you register movement, system will check whether qty to handle in take line is same as qty to handle in place line, if not, system will prompt error and stop register.

With such behaviour, internal movement can't be record in separate doc (or separate register action)

In that case there has to be a meeting point between the picking and putting process like the transit location for transfers - means separate bin(s) in separate zone(s)- means that theese two are separate processes, processed by different people in different point in time. The only option are internal picks and put aways. Transfers work the same way - shipping and receiving are separate processes they are simply linked by a transfer order number.

is indeed not possible without customisation. But if this is to register when something went to production, and back in stock then I believe you've got yourself another location (inside the same physical location).(ofcourse "or a similar use-case")
